Ritual Reward Program

Starting April 2^nd, 2012, you can sign up to memorize and present a particular piece of ritual to panel of advisors. Each piece of ritual is worth points, such as a preceptor part in the Initiatory degree, the officer parts in the opening and closing, any of the public ceremonies, and parts in the DeMolay Degree.

Once you reach the correct amount of points, you will receive any one of your choice of several prize shirts. For example Jacques DeMolay in the DeMolay degree is worth more points than the 1^st preceptor part, but they are both worth points.

In order to establish the prizes, we are starting a design the shirt competition. You are eligible to submit as many designs as you wish. All designs will be posted electronically for the membership to view and vote on. The designs will then be ranked as to popularity and the most popular will be the one worth the most in the ritual competition. The number of different shirts available will depend on the number of design submissions and the judging / voting.

The criteria for the shirt design is simple 3 basic rules –

It must be recognizable as DeMolay, and include the website askademolay.ca
You must be able to wear it to school or church or to your grandmother’s house
It must in some way express 1 or all of the 7 cardinal virtues, artistically, and you are allowed and even encouraged to describe or explain your design for the message you are trying to get across.

The design competition starts now, and submissions will be accepted up to and including April 15^th.

Judging and Voting will be from April 16^th to April 23^rd

The voting tabulations will be announced April 26^th

Shirts will be ordered and available for distribution as soon as possible after that date.

If you can scan the design, do that and email it to shirts@demolayatlantic.org
If not give it to one of the advisors and they will scan it and email it.
If your design is a winner we will need the original artwork so hang on to it.
You are able to enter with electronic copies.
If your design is electronic on the computer you need to draw the lines of where the sides and top / bottom of the shirt will be, so we can see how big you are planing the design. Meaning is it small on the front pocket or big on the back or what is your plan. Send it by email to the same address.
